PPH Board Vacancy To Be Filled

Palomar Pomerado Health has announced that it has a vacancy on its Board of Directors. Nancy Scofield is resigning from the Board. Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest and a resume including experience and background to PPH. The deadline is Monday, April 24, 2006, at 5 pm. Contact PPH for more details.

My observation is that the current PPH Board has little experience related to the giant construction projects that it hopes to undertake. It appears that the current Board will select the person that will fill the existing vacancy. Hopefully, the current Board looks past traditional criteria relating to medical experience and uses this opening to add some expertise that is currently lacking on the Board.

Also, the current Board needs more respresentation from Escondido.
